Roots & Pages: Stories for Homeschoolers is a podcast where homeschool kids write the stories — and we bring them to life. Full performance. Real voices. Your kid's imagination, on air.
Three stories per episode, 20–25 minutes. Theatrical and fun — voices, performance, the whole thing — wrapped in warm host banter that sounds less like a radio show and more like your favorite family at co-op.
Each episode features one anchor story with a fuller author moment, and two flash stories around it. The kids who wrote them get named. Their families get the episode. And every family who hears it thinks — my kid could do that.
That's the idea. That's always been the idea. A show that makes homeschool kids feel like authors — because they are.
No word count. No genre restrictions. No literary journal energy. If your kid wrote it — on paper, in a doc, in a notebook — we want to see it. The bar is one thing: they wrote it themselves.
We read every submission personally. If your kid's story is chosen, you'll hear from us directly — not a form email — before we record anything.
Drop your email and we'll tell you the moment the show goes live — plus first access to submit for season one.
